If the sound of someone chewing, slurping, or tapping sends a wave of irritation through your entire body, you’re not alone. This isn’t just a pet peeve; it could be a neurological condition known as misophonia. People with misophonia experience intense emotional reactions to specific sounds, often tied to mouth or breathing noises.

It can lead to anxiety, rage, or the desperate urge to escape the noise. While not fully understood, misophonia is gaining recognition in the scientific community, and it can have a real impact on relationships, work, and daily life.

Yes! Dear God Yes!
My wife says im the quietest eater! She also is amazed how fast ill eat without being seen. My whole life ive hated eating in front of anyone! Family, friends, even my wife! If im out in public and you actually see me eat im very focused and get it down quickly! It really sucks!
I also do not like to be talked to while I eat! Especially if im expected to answer!
