A voice

Hi, I want to share another experience that I’ve had. My grandmother and i were very close, I was her only granddaughter but she has great-granddaughters. She passed away in front of me in 2022 so last year I had just woken up and I heard a voice that sounded just like my grandmother saying my name just like she used to say my name if she called me and hadn’t heard from me in a couple of days. It didn’t scare me but I walked through my house and nobody else was here. Has anyone else ever experienced that?

Its slightly different but after our beloved dog passed on quite often I would hear his bark and that was on awakening. I did question whether it was all part of a dream, but it was all too real and I just knew it was him making his presence known

This is called a "clair-audient" experience, when you hear a voice or sound from beyond.

I hear things a lot more, lately, so yes I have had this happen. Some nights I hear entire sentences.

In those early morning hours when you are half awake and still groggy is when those moments always happen. I have only heard a voice once, that i remember. While driving alone down a back road, it was like someone leaned forward in my back seat and whispered my name in my ear.

I think at certain times the departed can get through a short word or two. In my opinion they are letting us know they are still around.

I've had my grandmother and my brother, both passed over, speak into my ear. It was on two separate occasions when I was feeling very down and stressed. Both times I felt instantly uplifted.

Yes! When my father died in the hospital, I was signing papers with the nurse, and I heard my dad call my name, like he was far away. I ran back to the hospital room and asked my brother why he was yelling when I was so close, and he said he didn't say anything. Recently, I heard my mother calling my name, from so far away.

I’ve experience something similar when just waking up. I heard my sister’s dog barking once. And another time I heard my sister calling for me and another time my mother. Each time it was very loud and clear - so much so that I thought my sister had come over and I got up to greet her.

I attributed it to being a hypnopompic hallucination.
