A Message from Mary?

Agreed. The message is what's important.
It's funny though, that Catholics see Mary, Christians see Jesus, and other religious beliefs will see their own deity. Just goes to show that God (or Goddess) appears as you desire him (or her) to appear.

Reinforcing the belief that we are holographic beings.
Not Catholic. Not Christian, but I get a benevolent force which likes to be known as Mary. Twice over the years though the Mary thing is new. I'd be surprised if it wasn't related. I see her as the personification of life and relate her to various religious ideas including the Tripple Goddess (Maid, Mother and Crone) the Fates and the Holy Spirit. This story seems in keeping with that.

I think you are right with people interpreting the same thing differently.

An additional note. The name Mary means "star of the sea" which seems to relate to navigation. It may be Venus, the morning star. So 'guiding light' may be one interpretation.

Related: Magdalene literally means "of the tower", so Mary Magdalene would be star of the sea in a tower, or a lighthouse.... Guiding light!
