Simply delightful! I always wanted a garden, but never have lived anywhere I could have one. Mr. Garnet made two vegetable gardens when we lived in Florida, but I hated the sand spurs and Asian cockroaches so I never worked in them.

Ah, so sorry to hear about the beasties putting you off! Maybe you could have house plants or window boxes?

We don't live in FL anymore, thank goodness. I remember I put a lovely flowering plant on the front porch steps there, and giant caterpillars just destroyed it.

Here in PA I put flowering plants on the porch whenever I can and there aren't any giant mutant insects to deal with, lol.
