It is a classic. Think TBS used to run it ALL day Christmas eve.

Jean Shepherd passed on in 1999, it would be tough to capture the essence of his world without him personally at the helm of any sequel, IMO.

I love his baseball videos on You Tube. I think he loved the game as much as anyone who ever lived. One of my favorite American story tellers, he's up there with Garrison Keillor, Mark Twain, and Tom Bodett. These people know how to serve up a slice of Americana.
