It does, but we fight back with strength and faith. No need to become hardened....just strong. Even those that are not of a particular belief or faith, but are loving and kind, fight evil by continuing to send love into the world.

How so? I know that most of the exorcism related stuff we see in movies or on TV is most likely of the Catholic/Christian variety. However I know it exists in different religions/cultures as well. For instance I know in Islam we also have it—it has a lot less red tape around it than its Catholic/Christian counterpart and can be practiced with less training or specialisation.

And shamanism as well. I meant as like specialized people yeah like that, like there are whole branches just for exorcism but a shaman may just be by himself or maybe with a team. You are right it is every where.

You will find pretty much all religions, even Wicca, have ways of dealing with evil/negative/energy/demons/djinn. What I take away from this is that if that many spiritual beliefs acknowledge it, it's very real. Once again, we're back to semantics. Doesn't matter what you name it, folks. The reality is it's out there. The battle is real. Good vs. evil is an ages old ongoing battle.

"all it takes for evil to succeed is for good men to do nothing". this quote is true on many levels.... I don't know if it refers to actual evil entities or if it is referring to the fact that mankind has to self police each other, man is a violent, power hungry, and yet lazy species ..... we try to change everything to meet our needs and make life easier,,,(not actually a good thing). we can be, and are "evil" without any help from the other side.
maybe that's why we do all we can to try to believe that true evil in the form of the paranormal does not exist. we know that to admit that, we would have to give up our comforts and way of life to fight against it. so we slowly slip symbols of the occult and the dark side into our everyday existence to kind of numb our selves to the reality we must soon face.

It would be my nature to start commenting here and still be commenting an hour from now. Fortunately for everyone else, I have just promised ghostkind that I will TRY to ramble less. So. My answer to the original question lie's very simply within two quotes that a small circle of individuals have carried for over 30 years now. I am one of those individuals.

And as of March of this year

"Lift up your Sword and hold, for your Childhood is behind you."

I have no doubt that my band was not special or unique. As we can clearly see in the leadership here on this subject.

It is no longer good enough to abdicate responsibility for Spiritual Warfare to institutions or tenets of any kind. Individuals must band together as Warriors of Light without considering what was before. And, if an individual can not find others, they must Stand alone. All that was before is now powerless in this battle. It was always about individual self-responsibility which is why the deceiver (not capitalizing because **** him/it) corrupted the Vessels/Institutions instead of directly corrupting the individuals in the first place. There are rules that even darkness is bound by.

We have to have Faith in the power that is Light, In ourselves that we are Loved, and that we are Worthy to Stand with The Guardians in this battle.

I am a Warrior of The Light. Let The Creator's hand teach me.

It seems important for me to say here that The Djinn have Warriors of The Light also. Of those who were... 600 fell, but 300 did not. The 300 are still pledged to The Light.

So rolling up the sleeves is a task we should all be ready to do if called. Whenever I hear or see something evil, I try to call it out at least.

I agree Mrs C. We are told in the Bible to put on the armor of God. One does not wear armor to sit in their living room and look out the window. We are called to let our light shine. I don’t think we need to look for a fight but we must be prepared to fight if the battle comes to us.
