ever notice when using new wood sap leaks out of some of the boards? I remember staining some spindles I replaced and saw something that looked like honey oozing out of one of them. My brother-in-law told me it was the sap from the tree, i was thinking it had to be freshly cut for that to happen if not maybe those folks in pole town can tap the telephone poles like in the joke.

Resins are the dickens when you work with pine. It can get really sticky on a hot day, or if you stain the wood too early. But there are exceptions. I've seen two year old seasoned wood drip sap. Have a great day Armand.
