If we are a black hole wouldn’t the universe be contracting instead of expanding ? Probably a dumb question. I have no idea about this.

Well...we believe the Universe is expanding because of the red effect which means light rays work like the Doppler effect of sound(an ambulance sounds different as it is coming up to you than as it moves away from you) They use a spectrum of red vs blue and so the red effect is how we interpret the Universe as expanding as it moves away from us -we see that it is the red waves BUT the same is true in reverse. Maybe we are moving away from it which means we are moving inward to singulrity as a black hole would do! We are contracting it is not expanding!
