I am not familiar with any of those. Black Jack looks like it tried to rip off Wrigley's package lol.
I was just telling my kid about these a few weeks ago. They are still around but not sold in the usual grocery stores and gas stations we frequent. I found a website called Vintage Gum where you can get them but I'm hoping to find some local candy shop or maybe check the Cracker Barrel country shop. Ordering Beeman's gum online just sounds like asking for a rip in the space-time fabric.
Yep, it's pretty straightforward, if you like black licorice, you'd like Black Jack. I don't, and didn't.I was just telling my kid about these a few weeks ago. I liked Beeman's because it's not super sweet like a lot of other gums from my childhood. Clove was my sister's favorite because it was cinnamony. Black Jack tastes like black liquorice, I told my kids that I'd give them that gum if they've done something bad. "You got an F in math!? Go chew a stick of Black Jack and think about how to improve your study habits."
If i want licorice i'd eat it..if i want gum, i'd get gum lol. Don't think i'd dig that much. Best of both worlds...nah lol.Yep, it's pretty straightforward, if you like black licorice, you'd like Black Jack. I don't, and didn't.
I had a friend who loved Black Jack, he'd chew 3-4 sticks at once and within minutes the inside of his mouth was pitch black. We played little league ball together, it was weird seeing him spit black onto the light brown, dusty infield dirt next to me at shortstop.
Gee whiz Duke it's hard to believe that you played Little League with a kid that chewed Blackjack. I'm not implying anything, but did you all have handlebar mustaches to ?Yep, it's pretty straightforward, if you like black licorice, you'd like Black Jack. I don't, and didn't.
