On 24 November 1971, a man identifying himself as Dan Cooper bought a plane ticket from Portland (OR) to Seattle. He hijacked the airplane, claiming he had a bomb in his briefcase, and demanded $200000 cash and four parachutes. He parachuted from the plane in that area, taking the money and bomb with him. He has never been seen again, making his the only unsolved skyjacking in US history.

And I'm betting this will become one of the over 50 shows Coast has done on this! I can see the producers calling the same guests to be on again...sigh.

So this character reenacted Cooper's jump yesterday. It was an exact recreation, except he jumped from a different plane, at lower airspeed and altitude, over a different locale, with a different chute and harness, in daylight vice night, in better weather, and wearing sneakers as opposed to dress shoes.
