Just downloaded what I want to keep and deleted the rest. Geez!
fun fact for most online services; when you request to delete your data, they simply take it out of their database and archive it. 23&me is no exception. apparently this is legal.
a few months ago, around the time the board of directors walked out in unison, I requested that my sample be destroyed and my genetic data deleted.
come to a few weeks ago, I'm going though the process of deleting my account, and I'm downloading my data before doing so. I request my raw genetic data. the same data i told them to delete. go figure, they successfully sent the file to me in less than 24 hours.
remember kids, the internet is forever.

Same thing you do with any cringe thing you've said on the internet. Just gotta live with it.
eh, with the discovery of E-DNA, everyones DNA is out there for the taking anyways........
I never used the service. Does it mean they still have data on me ? Most likely if one of my relatives used the service. This comment is already being picked up by internet bots.
