2 AM BF Thoughts

Awake at 2 AM and started "thinking" about something I heard on the radio a few nights prior. (Because the program I had on was boring me to tears! lol) A guest had mentioned that Bigfoot and other cryptids had been mentioned in the Apocrypha.

(The biblical apocrypha denotes the collection of apocryphal ancient books thought to have been written some time between 200 BC and 400 AD. Some Christian churches include some or all of the same texts within the body of their version of the Old Testament, terming them deuterocanonical books)

The guest referred to Jasher 36. So off I went on a BF hunt in the middle of the night. And lo and behold, there actually are references to cryptid type beings in there! So, Lynne, you may have me with a foot on the ground now instead of fully on the fence. Why? (Sing it with me now...) "The Bible tells me so".

Forgive me...it was 2 AM.

33 And one of these animals approached Anah and smote him with his tail, and then fled from that place.
34 And when he saw this work he was exceedingly afraid of his life, and he fled and escaped to the city.
35 And he related to his sons and brothers all that had happened to him, and many men went to seek the asses but could not find them, and Anah and his brothers went no more to that place from that day following, for they were greatly afraid of their lives.'.

That is a pretty good description of a sasquatch.

The Bible is full of stories about Aliens, Alien abductions, UFOs, and cryptid critters!! Ezekial was abducted and taken up in a UFO. I suspect that Alien is sometimes just what we call what they called an angel. Perhaps the "demons" were/are just aliens that are not so nice or gentle. I always refer back to the old adage that "Any technology that is sufficiently advanced will be indistinguishable from magic." To a caveman that met me and saw me use a flashlight and a bic lighter would think me a god!

This is one I didn’t know about. I think the Catholic Bible has the aprocryphal books. I read them as a child but I don’t remember. I will have to look into that. Deb , good find.
