We have done this before here by picking a movie available to all on youtube. The main barriers to doing this again on a regular basis is getting everyone to commit to a night and time and then actually show up. Life tends to get busy and the best-laid plans etc. We also have the problem with time zones...we have a time difference to get the east coast aligned with the west. Not to mention our across the pond and down-under peeps.

If enough people are interested maybe once a month, we might give it a try again.

It's currently -3 and the local chat is filled with parents wanting to know at what temp they cancel school so that the little ones aren't turned into frostbite popsicles in the morning. It appears the local cut off is -20. Personally, if it can freeze your skin in under 10 minutes, I think they really need to go to a day of e-learning!

I have found the local village chats fascinating. Some of the strangest conversations I've seen. Anyone follow one in your neck of the woods?

I used to follow neighborhood alerts on the Ring camera app, but blocked because it was people complaining about silly stuff.

Which is what I find so amusing...lol Pit bulls on the loose, what was that "boom", why don't we have a Taco Bell, why can't I have chickens in town. lol

Oh! Almost forgot...Amazon delivered package to wrong house and neighbor won't hand it over! That seems to be an ongoing thing around here on that chat. The houses in this area were all built back in the 30's to 50's, they all have pretty much the same colors, and look a lot alike! And I do believe some Amazon drivers need better GPS.

I recently had a clothing shipment go missing. USPS swears that they delivered it, but they never arrived. Thankfully the vendor sent out a replacement.
