When the derecho hit our area, my buddy was running house on generator. I was out for about a week and they were out almost 2 weeks. My buddy and wife lost there bird over that time. Very hot summer and had extra people in house. The bird got sick over that time.

When the derecho hit our area, my buddy was running house on generator. I was out for about a week and they were out almost 2 weeks. My buddy and wife lost there bird over that time. Very hot summer and had extra people in house. The bird got sick over that time.

Birds are very sensitive and can't handle temp changes, dust, fumes, etc. They are very sensitive to exhaust fumes. Doesn't take much. That's why they used canaries in coal mines...they were the first to react to dangerous conditions.
