I once lived in an apartment building that had a lot of seniors ( I wasn't senior yet) and I heard someone's smoke alarm go off. It didn't stop right away, so I grabbed a spray bottle with water in it and went to the apartment the noise was coming from. I saw this silver haired woman just standing there, with her front door open, and cringing. I asked if I could come in. When she nodded, I spritzed water at the smoke alarm and it stopped. She was so relieved! ( and so was I; that is a hard sound to bear!)
