Alternate Reality Dream.

Okay, this one is pretty weird. I had a dream where my wife was staying home with the baby but got the chance for a big job interview, so I took a day off to stay home with our daughter. I was was giving our daughter a bath when the phone rang, I immediately answered it expecting it to be my wife so I could hear how the interview went. However it was a telemarketer who I yelled at. I went back to the bathroom to discover my baby had slipped down into the water and was no longer breathing. It was the worst moment of my life. I called 911 but it was too late. My wife met me at the hospital where she slapped me and said she couldn't even look at me anymore.

This dream was really weird because it lasted for several days. In it I went to sleep and woke up the next morning. I took showers, ate, went to the restroom. I was interviewed by police and had to consult a lawyer. I tried going to work where I knew the details of my job and the coworkers. My boss even pulled me aside and told me, as a friend, to go home. In my dream he was a friend and someone I had memories of. I told him I need to work so I could think about something else for a while. At night I sat in an empty apartment, looking out over the city skyline og Chicago, even though at this point in my life I had never even been to Chicago. Eventually I looked out the window with a sense of hopelessness and wondering if my life was even worth living anymore. It was the lowest, most depressed I have ever been.

Then I woke up from this nightmare and was completely lost for a moment not recognizing my own bedroom. For days afterwards I was remembering people and events from the version of my life in the dream but not stuff that was in the dream; like my wedding and a skiing trip with friends. Part of me wondered if I was going to "wake up" and be back in Chicago.

It was a surreal experience, especially as I was only 15 years old and in high-school at the time.

I've had so many vivid dreams that could've been passed off as 'another reality'. They are so hard to justify where they come from. So glad that never happened to you (in this life), Steve.

Mornin' all
You wake up and think that you just had the wildest ever dream.
Or did you ?
The crazy dream i had about an 'alien invasion' that almost killed me and many others. After the 'attack' any survivors were taken to a facility where English was being spoken over loudspeakers, casually telling us this was the 'New Utopia' . I could see children being given 'advanced gifts' to keep them 'occupied'. The whole thing seemed planned and all i wanted was to get out of there to find my family.

Good evening to all! I'm moving slow today but I made it. Monday of Thanksgiving week! Sent my son in to pick up a Walmart order today and he said it was pretty busy at the pick up there today and the parking lot was fuller than usual.

Just back read the dreams on this thread. Wow, guys...just wow. They'd make some great movie plots. Kind of wonder of you guys were possibly traveling in some alternative universe situation in those.

Hi, Debi. This is going to be a short work week, I hope. Headed home to WV Wednesday, and hopefully won't be back to Virginia until Sunday. I'm going to smoke a spiral cut ham (already cooked), so it shouldn't take but a few hours. I'm looking forward to a few days off. Maybe have a chance to get out and snap a few pics. We've got lots of much needed rain coming in tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully, it will be slow and steady, but I have a feeling it's going to be a toad strangler.
