From an alchemical viewpoint, he did seem to make his point in the book. Been a few years since I read it.

His theory was, only partially remembered here mind you, that Disneyland was created to be a type of "machine". The carousel in the middle anchored it to make it a magical device. They moved the carousel from the original position it was supposed to sit at one point which stopped the "machine" from working as designed. Disney wanted to create an actual "place of magic."
