Rib, I’ve asked several times for the “shadow” to leave, and the opposite has happened, maybe you communicate better with them. Right now I’m thinking this maybe something more than a shadow person. The atmosphere in my house is different, even physically cold.

I heard noises again in the basement this morning, and I assertively asked the shadow to leave. The noise did stop. But as soon as I came home from work, the noise started almost as soon as I was in the door, and louder than before.

It definitely seems like you are sensitive, I admire your acceptance of these spirits. I work as an ER nurse, so death can be a daily occurrence in my life. I wonder if something followed me home from the hospital.

So have you always been sensitive to spirits and communicating with them?

There is the possibility that it isn’t a shadow person, but a different entity. My dogs have been barking at the basement stairs, so I think something is still down there.
