WE SPENT A LONG TIME IN LOCKDOWN, AND THE SUMMER IS NOW HERE!

WHAT ARE YOU DOING "FOR FUN" THIS SUMMER?

Hiding until my second jab kicks in, all things considered!
So I'm still on my Asomoverse marathon. Finished 'The Stars Like Dust' last week and now on 'The Currents of Space'. The former was really really really a massive influence on Star Wars which never gets mentioned! I mean it has a young man of important lineage who's father was killed by the evil empire hooking up with a clever old man who's been posing as a harmless eccentric and a headstrong princess who bickers with him a lot, an escape where the enemy are happy due to the tracking device which will lead them to the rebel planet and at one point the hero worries that the empire may have a ship which can destroy a whole planet! And everyone is searching for a secret document. And you never see the Khan, only his agent and a general.
Coincidence?

Staying cool, mostly. Going out for a walk when temps are nice. Spiritual studies, playing with my cats. Hoping for at least one boat ride before summer is over.

This was a weird summer so far ever since I got anemia around Easter. At least I can do some normal stuff but I got to take a day off and rest the next day.
We have a little par-3 nine-hole golf course in the neighborhood I think I can get around okay. So that's going to be next week's fun.

I'm going to put in a new gravel walkway and paint the outside of my house. I really like doing that stuff but I'm going to wait till September when and hopefully I'm a hundred percent and the weather's cooler.

Want to go see a few more White Sox games and hopefully land tickets for playoffs in October. That game I went to three weeks ago did me a world of good.

Going to make a big thing of kung pao chicken with chow mein noodles. Then maybe paella later in the month. Aldi's has take & bake pizzas that are pretty good. I like to get the meat lovers Fiesta size and then add all the vegetables. Grilled corn on the cob with A-1 , garlic butter and chives.

Pet & play with my Cat and Double Cat. Built 2 golf clubs yesterday and that was a lot of fun. 4 & 7 woods.

Found a crime Noir book at the dollar store.
Looks fun.

I have been spending time with friends and family that I haven’t seen much of. Also grad parties and outside chores. I love summer and spend as much time outside as possible.
