A couple months ago my wife, stepson, my daughter and one of my stepsons friends were in our living room doing whatever they were doing. I was in the basement (don't ask what I was doing mwahahaha!). Anyway, they heard a voice in the foyer. It called my stepson's name. He answered because he was expecting another friend to arrive. Well there was nobody in the foyer. They would have heard the front door open if someone would have opened it, and If anyone would have come in through the basement I would have seen them. There was nobody there, and they were not sure what to think. Being in the basement I didn't hear anything,

Fast forward to three days ago. I'm in the basement again, my wife was upstairs getting us ice cream (I love ice cream). Anyway, she hears a gruff voice say "hey". Again it came from the foyer. She was scared when she came down to the basement. I didn't hear anything.

I have no idea what to make of it. I suggested the dog made a noise but she didn't think so. My wife had an odd experience in this house years ago, before I met her, but hasn't heard any voices before now. Nothing's changed in the house, and it's not super old. It was built in the 70's.

I'm going to say this here and it applies to everyone right now....paranormal activity is taking an uptick. More and more people are reporting this kind of thing happening right now.

There are many dark forces feeding on the panic and chaos of the world right now, which can make them strong enough to have a "voice." Sometimes they are just passing through a space and don't even live there....they just seem to be floating around everywhere lately adding to the chaos and fear if they can. Heidi Hollis just reported about this and I'll see if I can find the report in a bit. Priests are also reporting a big jump in this kind of activity as well.

Prayers seem to hold some of this at bay. Try the St. Michael's Prayer, Jay. It seems to help guard the home and people in it.

Debi, if my hubby had us together he'd ban us .. I was going to post almost the same answer GMTA, so I'll just leave your answer and instead say Hi Jay, nice to see another Iowan on the forum :)

Tia, Jay is one of the wonderful police officers out there, so even more likely to have the "other" bad guys want to use him as target practice via the spirit world.

All sorts of things feed on stress and strong emotions. I also think that when people are stressed it somehow opens them to things that in normal times would not be able to bother them. Anything that takes people out of their normal life rituals is going to cause all sorts of stress. I never sleep very well in the first couple of nights away from home. New places have different "vibes" than your home and it takes a bit to adapt. Even though people are staying in their homes, there is nothing normal about this for most of them. I guess I am lucky. Because of my health problems I have been pretty much a homebody for almost a year. Other than my Friday fishing I seldom leave the house for anything except to pick up my Grandbaby from school or to go to the doctor.

People really do get Cabin fever and get stir crazy. I am hearing stories of people that are basically dragging their poor tired dogs around "walking their dogs" just to get out of the house. When this is over with there are going to be some of the wildest and most massive parties that people have seen since we were teenagers.

Like Tia I agree, Debi had a good explanation. Not much more to add except that we live in interesting times. Keep up the prayer and stay alert.
