When I was 11 I saw my first UFO. It happened around midnight when I was letting our pooch out for bathroom duties. The sky was clear, not a cloud in sight; and as usual my eyes were scanning the heavens in the hope of seeing something out of the ordinary! I struck lucky and spotted a bright, but distant light which was carrying out some crazy manoeuvres. It was zig-zagging around at astonishing speeds and then coming to an abrupt stop! This continued for some five minutes before disappearing at breakneck speed! I was overjoyed to have witnessed this unusual and unique(for me!) experience. I told my parents when they returned from their evening out but they dismissed it putting it down to my imagination! I decided to keep such information to myself in future as my family already thought I was weird - because i read books and spent time alone(contemplating such questions as why am I here/where did we come from?)! I also played football and got into the usual scrapes as a teenager. But my ‘weird’ tag remained with me for the remainder of my days!
A few years later I was out UFO hunting in the scenic parks of Liverpool, Calderstones Park with a friend when we spotted three of them! They were circular shaped, hovering above the treeline, but a fair distance away. The objects may have been aware of us because they appeared to put on a light show for us! The three UFOs would rise up and then descend. On rising they would flash a bright white light, descending they would flash a bright orange light. Before they flew off they put on a multi-coloured light display which lasted for 20 minutes. We were about 15 then which would make it 1975. We were not involved in any UFO groups and were not aware of any other reports about this sighting. Obviously the world was a far different place back then - no internet! So there was no sharing of such sightings. It wasn’t until my 20’s that I became active in the UFO field. I have since then met other abductees and been amazed by their stories.
