I don't know if this is the right place for this this or if Universal energy is the right term, but it's my term.

A post about shielding took me right back to four years old. I had ideas that nobody else around me did so I don't know where they came from.

I insisted that everything had it's own life force and we had to respect that. Ok, I maybe took it a bit far. I wouldn't walk on the grass without kneeling down and asking permission first, with a wee reminder that bairns can be bouncy and forgetful so shout if I hurt you. I got sent to cut some roses from the garden and came back saying I couldn't do it, it might hurt the roses and mother nature wouldn't be amused if I hurt her children. I also cried after being taught how to make daisy chain jewelry after being told the daisies couldn't go back in the ground. I cried you've made me a daisy killer, karma will come bite my butt now. lol.

I still believe deep down in universal energy though it's not a part of my life any more. But I am interested on other peoples take on the universe, mother nature, karma etc. So can I ask ....

Peace and Love to all :<3

You bring up a good point, but we do have to eat so if it is not animals then has to be plants. I do know that I think it is a good idea to respect nature as much as possible. When I am in the woods I do not cut my way through it, I try my best to leave all vegetation just the way I found it and try not to step on too much stuff as not to leave a trail, or any signs that I was ever there.
I think I do this for respect of all of nature ,plants and animals, and perhaps even the paranormal creatures that may live there.

Well put, DogLet. I think respect for all is built in to most belief systems. We honor what we eat or use and remain grateful for it. In some religions the animal is even thanked for providing themselves as a source.

As children we cannot always understand the broader concepts of how life works and how all things have a purpose under heaven.

I can't access the 2nd link but there's some good info in that 1st link, Debi, so thanks. :)

I once got told I was too empathic and to stop because it drains me too much, others emotional pain in particular. I had no idea how to do that as it's just a natural thing, it's still is but I'm realising now things have to be balanced and I have to care for myself too.

All part of the learning curve. I hope you'll do some further research and learning about it.
