Hello all. My name is Mark Innacito. I am 42 years old and from Commerce City, Colorado. I am currently married to my wonderful wife of 6 years. I am also a part time college student. I completed my Associates, and currently working on my Bachelor's in Technical Communications. I have a blog I started that I need update. Due to my busy schedule, I haven't really had a chance to post a new blog. I also started a podcast simply called The Mark Innacito Podcast. I don't really have a particular subject that I discuss. Mostly music is what I focus on. You can find my podcast on iheart radio, Spotify and Apple Podcasts, to name a few apps that my podcast is on. Trying to get more listeners.

When I was 6 years old, I witnessed my mother astral project. I was lying in bed and all of a sudden I saw what appeared to be a ghostly vision of my mother floating in the hallway and continued in the living room. I freaked out. I heard my mother's voice from the bedroom explain to me that everything was alright and that she knew what was going on.

When I was 8 years old, I was lying wide awake in bed. My door was open so I was able to see the living room area. I saw a dark shadowy figure walk from our front door to the kitchen of our house. That was all I saw of it. I heard no doors opening or closing and no sounds of the floor creaking as if somebody was walking on our floor. The next morning I asked both of my parents if they had come upstairs for something. Both of them said no.

In my adult years, especially when I was single. I was fascinated with Marilyn Monroe. I collected posters of her and all. I had a photo of her that I bought and was at a friend's house and had the picture next to me. At the corner of my eye I noticed the image had moved. Of course, anything at the corner of the eye can be tricky whether it was an actual movement or not. One of the poster's I had of her was an iconic photo of her wearing a white fur coat against a white background. I noticed one time that the image was almost grining at me. I noticed this happening a number of times since. Again, this could be a case of my eyes playing tricks on me.

In 2008, I was at a friends house, we were partying and all. There were four of us. My friend had stated there might be a ghost in his house, because he kept hearing strange noises. I started to mess with it asking questions like "show me a sign that your present. Tap on the wall. Sure enough we heard a tap on the wall. We weren't even sitting next to the wall. I said, do it again. It did it again. My friend took a picture of the area where the sound was coming from. When I saw the picture I couldn't believe what I saw. I saw a picture of a ghostly image of a man dressed in viking attire and he appeared to be smiling.

In Colorado, there is a road called Riverdale Road, that is said to be haunted. One of the stories was that there is a tree on the side of the road. It is near a dirt road that led to a dairy called McIntosh Dairy. Supposedly there use to be witch hangings in that tree. I went on that road four times.

The first time we were trying to find that tree. We eventually passed it and had to turn around. As we were driving there was a truck following us and happened to turn where we turned off at. They followed us for a solid five minutes. When they passed us we noticed their windows were dirty. Kind of odd. We finally found the tree and got out of our car for about 10-15 minutes. I stood their picturing these witch hangings happen. At one time we heard two girls laughing. we looked around us a we saw no sign of anyone. There was a ditch off to the side of the tree and I noticed a girl in a white dress. She would appear and disappear off and on. I then noticed the girl come closer, at that point we left. That night we drove my car. What was weird was that my car was making a clicking sound from that point until I got rid of it 8 years later. Whether it was paranormal or something with my car, I don't know.

We went the next niggt, this time we brought somebody else along. Didn't see much action that night, then again we didn't stay as long this time. On the way there I noticed a ghostly figure cross the road. When we arrived at the tree we heard this we sound that was coming from the tree. It is hard to explain what it was.

The third time two of us went and we decided to turn off the road and continue on the dirt road to the dairy. We turned around real fast. We noticed a ghostly image floating towards us with an apron on and a butcher knife in his hand.

I went with another friend a couple of years later. We went by the tree and decided to drive toward the dairy. We a shadowy figure move off toward the left and disappeared. We left real fast after that.

I actually went again with another friend during the day. Completely different atmosphere during the day. However, when I approached the tree by the dairy I completely felt a discomfort there so I just left.

For our honeymoon, my wife and I stayed at the famous Stanley Hotel in Estes Park based on Stephen King's The Shining. One of night's we were there, I felt someone or something push on my back. I turned over and looked at my wife, she was completely turned over on the other side.

We took a ghost tour one night. It was a cool experience. We went into this building on the property that was an auditorium. President Woodrow Wilson made a speech in that auditorium. Bob Dylan played acoustics in there.

We went into the basement and there were two rooms that were haunted. One was of a man. I can't remember the full story about him, but each time we went in his room we had to announce we were coming in. Each time I walked in there, I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

The other room which was across the hall was the room of a teenage girl named Lucy. She died in a hotel fire. She would close the door of the room. Every now and then the tour guide would ask her to close the the door and would close the door. At first I'm sceptical about it. But what drew me to believe? I was across the hall in the other person's room. I left and went back into Lucy's room. As I was going back she was about to close the door. When I approached the doorway the door stopped moving and she allowed me in the room before she shut the door.

As far as the incident of the sensation of someone pushing on my back, that might have been a maid who died in a fire. She would haunt the hotel by trying to seperate married couples whom she thinks are not properly married.

I look forward to getting involved inbthis forum and discuss about paranormal activities with others.

Thank you.

Welcome to the PNF Mark!
Those are all very interesting experiences you've listed! Glad to have you join us, I think you'll like it here.

Welcome to the forum Mark. Kind of hard not to believe when you've seen it yourself.

Interesting about the viking type clothing at the party. Those are the things you kind of remember just because they are odd, but when you do the research it turns out that is the best information purely because it seems more unlikely to get a match.
I could list quite a few of mine that seemed odd at the time, but the research proved it right.

I find that researching these events helps me understand that they did actually happen, and that I'm not just imagining seeing these things.Which in turn helps you understand and trust your ability. So- do your research!
Would like to know why the butcher guy is there. I've had an experience with a butcher too, not pleasant as I became him for a bit.

Welcome Mark. You have had an amazing amount of experiences. Did you and your mother ever discuss what you both saw that night? It does seem like once someone has a paranormal event, the doors swing wide open to more. .

I thought it was pretty odd. When I saw a ghostly image of her floating. I was like, mom??? We never really talked about it really. My mother ended up passing in 1998.

I think how I discovered it was astral projection was a conversation I had with my public speaking instructor. She believes in the supernatural and she referenced astral projection in one of her lectures. It made me think about that moment. I actually heard about astral projection from the film Insidious. But it didn't strike me, until my teacher mentioned it.

I have been curious about astral projection myself. That being said I am also skeptical about it. I am a Christian believer and I tend to worry how it would affect my relationship with God. I became close friends with a fellow student who herself has beliefs in the supernatural. She said it shouldn't affect you relationship, however keep your faith strong as you do it.

I do remember one night I was in that sleep paralysis mode, and I felt my spirit half way coming out of my body. I chickened out, however I am still curious.

Funny, I hear stories of other people during their sleep paralysis moment and they see shadowy figures of people. I don't. Is that a good thing, I guess? Also they say it's a gift to experience supernatural things. Not everyone can see them. And lastly, do some people have negative thoughts about ghosts that the ghosts won't bother to show?

Out of body experiences are widely reported and you can find many articles on this. If I recall correctly, the realm entered is a lower astral one and can have lower level entities there. I don’t know if it’s against God to do it on purpose. Maybe someone will weigh in on that. I’ve had that question myself.

Welcome Mark! I'm also in Colorado so we're like distant neighbors.

I never witnessed it my self but I was told that my mother could astral project. My aunt's say it was something she did often when she was younger.

I understand your concerns about mixing your faith with the ideas of the supernatural. While there do seem to be conflicting beliefs, to me these things help offer proof of each other. Religion teaches us that there is more life after our bodies die, and that there are beings on the other side who watch and observe how we have lived our lives. In my experiences with the supernatural I have encountered loved ones who have died but still seem to be present in another form. I have also been in the presence of thing that I don't believe we're ever alive in our physical understanding of the word, what religion might call Angels, demons or the Holy Spirit.

I'll have to look into the claims of Riverdale road. I live about 5 miles from McIntosh Dairy and have driven that road numerous times but had never heard of any local legends.
