What are you grateful for today?

Today I am grateful for modern medicine. They delivered my machine today so that I can start doing dialysis. My kidneys have stopped working and I am slowly poisoning myself because of the build-up of toxins in my blood. In the past that would have meant that I would have to go to a dialysis clinic where they would hook me to a machine to filter my blood for hours. Under the new system, I can hook up at night at HOME and sleep while I receive peritoneal dialysis. This is going to allow me to have a normal life rather than having my days revolving around a dialysis center.

Thank goodness and I'm so glad for you, Dan. I totally get the machine gratefulness. I have an 02 concentrator that I rely on. May your new machine bless you with a much more normal life, hon.

I am grateful for my son and that he was home this weekend...for my new kitten and my 2 birds...for being alive...for my gifts that i know better how to control now...for having a roof over my head and what a location ! nice view of the lake ... for food delivery :) ... and for this amazing site, being able to exchange with one another about all this, peacefully and freely...

I went in for an evaluation today. It is AMAZING how much better that I am feeling. I actually have double digit hemoglobin for the first time in 18 months! All of my lab results are back within a normal range except calcium and phosphorous and that is treated with Tums before eating. I am very grateful for more GOOD time with those that I love and the energy to enjoy it. Life is good again...

I'm grateful that so many cool people here have so many nice things to feel grateful for.:).
It's contagious !:D
I'm grateful that I have a lot of good paint work coming up. The money will give me the ability to make some job decisions from a position of strength. And that just comes right down to peace of mind.
