Charles Lindbergh had an experience flying in the Bermuda Triangle where he described the fog as flying inside a milk bottle and his instruments did not work.
I remember that story, Paint. He's not the only one to report this kind of thing, either.

Has anyone here ever experienced ball lightning?

I haven't but my mother told a story when during a thunderstorm a ball of light making a crackling noise came out of the fireplace floated across the living room towards an open window where as it floated out and exploded with a loud pop

Indirectly! My grandparents had ball lightning IN there home and it started a small fire! My Grandmother said it chased her! Fire dept. said it most likely was by the path the ball hit in the home. Came in a window that was open. Weird stuff!

Wow! Funny thing is that it can go through closed windows, too.
