What have you done....

I've gone off alone into the woods and fasted for 7 days on a personal quest. I've fasted for 14 days twice. I've been going steady with the same girl for 46 years and married to her for 44 years.

Ahh, a vision quest of sorts... That I can relate to, I went into the majave desert once and stayed for 3 months in a tent. Saw the desert come alive in ways I never imagined and will never forget....beautiful.
When I was younger I would move to wherever just to see what was there, decided to head west once and just packed my clothes and left everything else behind, stayed for a year in Missouri and got a phone call from the company I had previously worked, asking if I had any desire to come back....so the next week I was headed back to georgia...lol....with a raise and promotion, and all seniority continuous...every so often I still get that nomad itch and have to weigh the pluses and minuses, esp. Since I'm getting a little older nowadays....lol
OK. Here's something maybe not many have done, even though I hate flying and will drive if at all possible in order not to have to fly, I have jumped / parachuted numerous times, from both prop planes and jets, also helicopters...but that was a very long time ago.

Went to gatlinburg TN and was stuck in a traffic jam and yeah this black bear came strolling out. It was awesome. Until it started walking towards the car lol. I rolled up the window.

When I was newly in the Republic of China, I attended the funeral of Chiang Kai-shek. I was filmed and interviewed for many magazines and newspapers.

I remember one of the interview questions was, "Were there as many people at JFK's funeral as here?" One of the major headlines had a picture of me with the bold print caption: "Chiang Kai-shek's personal foreign friend pays his last respects".

Obviously I had never met the Leader, but after the funeral it opened up so many doors for me and led to a fantastic life for me there. It was surreal.

Nothing major I don't think.
I have abseiled upside down in a seat harness down a church tower. Apparently you are not supposed to do that as people fall out of them.
I have opened safes in under 6 seconds. ( I am a locksmith)...opened a lot of safes come to think of it.
I have found a six leaf clover...and plenty of four leaf clovers.
I have built my own vehicle.
I managed to get my boss fired. :p
I put out a kitchen fire at my parents house. Still have the scars.
I have rescued a female from domestic abuse, and her children from child abuse. I am now a husband and carer for her and a father for the children.
