Bizarre Cattle Mutilation Reported in Argentina - Coast to Coast AM

A truly strange animal mutilation case in Argentina has residents of a village on edge with fears that the chupacabra may be lurking around their community. The weird incident reportedly occurred in the community of La Paz last week when a farmer noticed that one of his cows had gone missing. Following a lengthy search of the property, workers eventually located the lost creature and were aghast by its condition.

According to the farmer, several of the creature's organs, including its tongue and eyes, had been removed in a manner which suggested that it had been done with a laser as the cuts were both incredibly precise as well as seemingly sealed. Observers were also taken aback by the fact that there was no blood around the scene and scavenger animals appeared to have no interest in the carcass.

While these details appear to be in line with classic cases of cattle mutilations or alleged chupacabra activity, one additional aspect of the case is particularly perplexing and quite out of the ordinary. The farmer claims that when one of his workers went to take a picture of the animal's remains, his cell phone suddenly shut down. They initially suspected that the battery had died, but were amazed when a teacher from a school in the town also tried to film the cow and saw her cell phone inexplicably run out of power when she got close to the dead creature.

"I can not explain what is happening," the farmer marveled, "it is as if it were a magnetic field or something that prevents taking pictures." As 'luck' would have it, however, the farm worker was apparently able to snap at least one image before the mysterious cell phone snafu occurred and it is, as one might expect, fairly gruesome. For his part, the farmer claims that the cow was perfectly healthy before the eerie incident which took its life.

Considering the condition in which the creature was found, it's difficult to discern what, exactly, caused its unsettling demise. However, that hasn't stopped local media in Argentina from pointing the finger at a rather notorious culprit. In detailing the case of the dead cow in La Paz, one local newspaper boldly declared "the chupacabra is back in action," harkening back to a similar animal slaying from September in which the infamous cryptid was also a suspect.
