I recently had an experience of faith I'd like to share with you.
Last Thursday night, I had a light flashing in my bedroom. I assume this was a lightning bug. I layed there and watched it for a bit, flashing along, before I got up, turned on the light and went looking for it. Nowhere to be found. Turned off the light. Flash, flash, flash around the ceiling. Turned on the light again. Couldn't find it.
The longer I layed there watching this, the stronger the message came to me in knowing. "Watch. Something is coming, you must be ready for it."
The next morning, I got up and told my husband and son something was not right and something was coming. Of course, they said, "It's a lightning bug." The search continued. No bug to be found.
Friday night, after the show here, I turned off the lights, and there it was again. Flash, Flash, Flash....turned on the light. No bug to be found, but what I did find was my little dog was in respiratory distress with his heart problem.
I spent the night with my boy sharing my oxygen with him until the vet was available to help assist him over the rainbow bridge. It was a long night, a sad parting, but time I would have not had and comfort that would have been missed had the little bug not flashed his message. And once again, briefly that evening, flash, flash, flash, and gone.
Sometimes, a bug is more than a bug. I thank him for flashing the heads up, for being there so I found my pup in distress when he needed me, and for flashing the goodbye that night.
I share this with you to remind you to be open to the little signs, the little memos sent by the universe. There are messages to be heard and found when we are open to them.
