Maybe not so paranormal, you decide.

Sounds unexplainable to me. I would look around to make sure it wasn’t a warning. Check the wiring, look for possible fire problems. The other side maybe warning you.

I’m not especially interested in commenting on the source of the alarm or the smoke at this point. But I will comment on the shared experience you present that you both had - both hearing the alarm, both seeing the smoke temporarily, and both waking to run to be with your kids.

I’ve had maybe four or five people who, when in sincere and acute need, reached out for support or comfort and I felt their calls psychically and responded.

My point here is that, regarding your shared perceptions, it might have been that either one of you perceiving the alarm/smoke could have been enough to allow you both to experience the same perceptions. You’re partners with joint concern for the other and your children. The first to have correctly or wrongly perceived the alarm/smoke could have shared the urgent need psychically with the other.

So I say yes...it very well could have included a paranormal component.

Wow Wands !! An amazing addition to my thoughts on this. Another component would be if the children were in danger in the other location and projected the situation to the parents. Since this is not mentioned I’m assuming this is not the case. The psychic outreach to those we are connected with is a very compelling idea.

I had the same thought Lynn that someone elsewhere was having a fire-related emergency. But again because PR didn’t comment on same I didn’t feel it appropriate to go there.

Related experience I had which I don’t think I’ve posted before involved my high school GF who was VERY Christian.

I awoke in the middle of the night speaking a Christian prayer aloud. Not out of the realm of possibility that it was only [edited to add - happening inside or happening to] me because years earlier I was a practicing Christian.

However, when I spoke with my GF in the morning, she volunteered that she’d awaken from a very frightening dream in the middle of the night and immediately began chanting a (the same) Christian prayer to calm herself.

We confirmed the timing of our wakings and then I told her about my own occurrence of sleepily praying of the same prayer.

It may have been the first of several times where we touched each other remotely while sleeping.

Guess I'll jump into this conversation, too! lol I actually should have one of my kids jump on here and confirm this. I have an uncanny ability to somehow tap into what is happening with my children when they are in distress. I often call them asking, "What's wrong?" before they can call me. I have had these type of "visions" where I see something happening and it looks so real to me that it is difficult to seperate the two realities...only the real event is happening to one of them. It may be someone else was "sending" such frantic thoughts you actually picked up on it. Fire is one of those things that would have the mind at full throttle "send".

I actually suspect that PR and his wife both being asleep could increase the chance of a psychic connection at this point. Having their daytime conscious attentions suppressed by sleep might leave either one more open to psychic receipt of a message from the other.
