The Hat Man

I've seen this entity twice, once in the reflection of a window at night,We were playing cards and it was standing behind me looking down at me.That was in 1989.Only I saw him.In 1999 in my new house I saw him walk down my hall and disappear into my bathroom. He looked at me as he walked past and looked at my friend who was in the laundry to the side.I described him at the time as a dark old fashioned gangster, over 6 feet tall with a hard but not foreboding face.He startled us but had no menacing feeling about him,no glowing eyes just very dark.It was daytime. My friend asked me who he was.We checked the bathroom but he'd vanished. Both times he had a gangsters hat and trenchcoat.

Sounds like a classic Hat Man apparition. Did he have distinct features? Did he move at all?

I've told the story here many times before. My oldest son has been followed by the Hatman his entire life. I've seen him myself. He never does anything but watch and observe, but it's really unnerving. I have yet to find anything that makes him permanently go away. Nt son does carry a St Ben's medal, and that does seem to keep the appearances down to once every 5 years or so.

First time he just stood there still, second time walked past me.A classic 1920's or 30's gangster look.

I haven't seen him now for 20 odd years.Yeah, it was unnerving but not really bad or evil. The first time I was with a very out there family,a lot of violence and bad stuff.Their house was full of bad spirits and other entities which the people and I saw often. The second time I was in my new house and just started seeing a nice girl.Neither time the hat man felt threatening to me.
