Friendly Goatman?

Cryptids are my absolute most favorite thing ever, so I jumped on this post first thing, lol.

Also, don't copper and blood have that same smell?
Cryptids and creatures are my favorite topic as well. I have a short, unexplainable experience to share, but I'm working on a sketching of what I saw before I explain it.

I was thinking the same thing Eli just before I scrolled down to your post.

Welcome Eli.
[And no, contrary to my personal friends and Duke, I am NOT a Vulcan! :LLAP ]

on the Goatman encounter stories I've heard n read, yeah all that you described and recalled here doesn't seem common or routine at all. definitely a unique case. the creature was confusing the man and turning/shaping into people that he already knew? even had a convo with it? wow, if all that is the raw truth that's quite a lot to happen at once there. not to mention the creature apparently protecting him when/while getting attacked by regular wildlife? I have a couple questions tho.. if the fella insists it was a Goatman as the cryptid of choice.. well how did he even know that at first if it came to him as a regular person that he already knew? did he ever describe its appearance in its cryptid state? thanks for the story, nevertheless.

He says he saw the goat horns, and when it was fighting the other animal or beast that tried to attack him, he drew his rifle on what attacked him, but in the confusion accidentally shot off a piece of the goatman's horn. He said after that he took off running, decided things were way to crazy, especially fearing that the goatman would now turn on him for having accidentally shot it's horn

I keep getting fae vibes, honestly. Shapeshifting and benevolent actions could lead to a spirit, though.
