Darkness Dave is a member of our forum

On Feb. 5, I had a very nice conversation by phone with Dave Schrader. He wanted you all to know why he doesn't post his guests in advance.

If you are not already aware, it can be difficult to get guests. The "pool" of known people is highly sought after by everyone out there. It's also difficult to find fresh voices in the paranormal field. Many of the guests can get worn out with so many requests for interviews.

Dave shared that with the name of the show being "Darkness Radio", some guests can get the wrong impression and might shy away to begin with because of the word "darkness". He often has to explain what they are about, and not some show that deals with the dark side of things. He also has found that, in the crazy world of radio, there is often a problem when you list your guests early. Sometimes, there is a bit of "stealing" from the guest list by other hosts, who then can try to book them before you can even get them on the air. It's even been known at times for a guest to appear on two shows on the same night. Competition in the field can be pretty stiff. Thus, he's learned to hold his guest list back until the last minute.

Told Dave about our Chapstick prize for finding out the guest first! Today I won that prize because Dave kindly shared that info with me so I could share it with you! (Yes, it was cheating! lol) He was also pleased and honored to hear you all had chosen to follow him for the live show thread after our change of focus here. Dave and I are working on a little project for the future, which I'll share with you later if all works out.

We're glad to welcome Dave as one of our hosts that now interacts with us here at the forum, joining with Bob, malliard, and Dave Scott. We are glad to find such nice people in the paranormal world who will share with us and support the forum! He may not be on during the shows right now, but he'll be checking in from time to time. Be sure to reach out and support this great group of radio hosts. We are so blessed to have these talented guys as part of our forum!
