Your funniest....

When I was about 20 I was staying at my grans for a while. The lady next door had a huge brindle Boxer. One day I found him roaming down the road so I stopped my car and he promptly jumped in. I had him in the back seat but he jumped right up front. He rode like he was familier with this process. So I drove him home, took him to the door to report I had her missing dog only to see her dog come to the door. OMG I had been riding around with a huge man eater I didn’t know in my front seat! He was a real lover and I would have gladly kept him however I did find his owner after a house to house search.
Lynne, having owned 10 boxers over my lifetime, I have to assure you they truly aren't maneaters...lol Your story, however, left me in stitches! Of all the breeds I've owned, I think my favorite big luvable dog is the boxer. We still have an old girl now. They just want to be loved...usually by everybody! Unless you threaten their "kids"....they will guard a child with their life.

When Mr. 18 first came to us 3 years ago battered and afraid, our old boxer girl, who always always slept in our room, dragged her entire bed down the hallway and set up shop outside that child's bedroom door. She's never left off guarding him. You have to get past her to get to his door.

On the other hand, when she was a puppy, I puppy sat her litter sister for my friend who had adopted her. With two in the house and me away for work during the day, I came home to find my entire den tore to shreads. They had pillows split open, stuffing all over, drapes down, and both were sound asleep in the carnage when I came home. When they are puppies, they are difficult to train and control. Once they are about 2, you have great dogs! lol (If your house can survive it!)

We once had a Shepherd / sneaky neighbor dog mixed dog "Okima" and when we still lived in our old house I did bird rescue and 1 of the birds was a B&G macaw "Rain", I guess Okima decided that either she was a bird or vise versa since Rain was always roaming around the house and hanging out on the dogs bed. So one day I hear Rain screaming "What?, what?, what? MOM" and when I walked into the Livingroom Okima was in Rain's cage making circles to get ready to lay down. Needless to say Okima got booted out and after that if she looked like she was going anywhere near the cage Rain would scream MOM and throw bird food or anything she had in ger beak at her to keep her away. I love looking at the picture, (I couldn't resist taking it because it's not every day that you get to see "Shepparrot")

you are dead on with the bully breeds description, lol... we have/had 3 pit bulls and a boxer. 2 of the bullys were sisters that my wife brought home at 6 weeks old., when they were about 8 months old, (we always keep the bulldogs in the house for the first 12 months), we come home one day to find foam, fabric, cotton and stuff all over the living room. we follow the trail of destruction to the den to find they had burrowed completely through a sectional sofa.....then about 2 months later we come home to find the same scene, only this time they dug completely through a California king mattress in the bedroom.....lol...we went through a house full of furniture that year. honestly got so bad we only shopped at thrift stores for furniture until they were outside permanently...lol...
my wife also likes to hang the sheets and stuff out side to dry sometimes..one day she looks out back and they all have the sheets playing tug of war with them, lol...new sheets time...
but yes once they get about 2 years old they are the best dogs....they will just test your patience getting there.

Trying this again. *Rain was a rescue and was practically bald / naked when I got her so she was still a little bald in the picture, but she was beautiful to me)

When I lived in Alabama I had a stray dog she was part pit bull and part something else, The dog had an appetite for wild animals, Beaver, squirrel rabbit anything she could overpower she ate it.
One night she picked a fight with a skunk she was banned from coming in the house by my girl at the time, I tried to clean her with many different things but to no avail, she smelled like hell.... so I decided to google how to remove skunk odor from a dog. I guess the blog i read was some kind of joke but I had to try.. Anyway I rushed to CVS ran to the back pharmacy area and said loudly to the person at the counter. "GIVE ME THE BIGGEST DOUCHEBAG YOU HAVE!" Everyone in the store (or that was around me) stopped and looked at me like i was insane and tried very hard to hide their smirks. The lady asked me why I was so upset and I explained to her and she laughed for about thirty seconds and explained to me to was just vinegar and water. Long story short it worked and I never returned to that store ever again...

the End.
