We just arranged for a new mini-split A/C unit for the bedroom. Our bedroom only has one window and I hate to stick a window unit in it, because then we can't open the window all summer. The mini split goes on the wall with the condensor part outside. It's less expensive than central air for the entire house.

Nice! I've seen those. Let me know how it works for you. I dropped my electric bill over $100 a month by not using central air and using two window units.

I have something similar in Gyda's room and a window unit in living room. electric bill is low and keeps it cool :D

Due to breathing issues, cool air is a must here at my house. We generally "live" in our bedrooms, so that's where the cool air is. The rest of the house gets a bit warm...lol
