and the half of cheese strip you may or may not get with it....50/50 chance of winning...lol.... sometimes though they can over-do the tartar sauce and i take a napkin and wipe it all off....lol

You are so right about the cheese, lol. The messier the better in my book. If you're going to eat bad it might as well be messy too.
the south has krystal, pretty much identical to white castle.... that and waffle house has always been the late night go to for the party crowd....side story...back in the eighties they could get so rowdy and such a party crowd that the court system in our area started adding a rule that anyone on probation could not frequent those two places....lol..... in highschool the local krystal was the meeting place on cruise nights, hundreds of cars and rowdy teens causing trouble and general mayhem...lol...fun timesGood old White Casket! yes they were cheap....still are. its pretty much identical to white castle, same type small building, same sliders, same taste, ....lol... it was a great hang out spot back in the day....kids today dont know what they are missing living life digitally...lol
Except Krystal puts mustard on their burgers.
In either Nashville or Murfreesboro, there is a White Castle and a Krystal within a stone's throw of each other. We ate at both, two burgers at each, one evening while there for a football game. I preferred WC.

If I get really lucky, I'll get a double whopper that never saw the inside of a microwave. Hard to beat !

I'm sorry to see the old White Castle in Whiting being remodeled! As a child, we would all pour into my grandfather's HUGE Lincoln, (two kids and four adults) and drive to Whiting to that WC for the big treat!
