So far, so good! We had to get an estimate for the garage roof, which is leaking. Add that to the broken clothes dryer and the bathroom sink backing up, it's been great! ;er
Always seems things go wrong all at once :( Hate when life has to deal those blows especially right after the holidays. It's almost like it 'needs attention' lol. Hey! Remember me?! Wham!. Ugh. Like when my new roof was installed and come home to find my ceiling had a hole in it from a foot and my water heater stack (exhaust) shifted and shingled in. I called the company and was like, wth. If i had no sense, the exhaust could've built up in house and bye bye me. Sorry to hear of your life hiccups, Garnet. Hope all works out for the best for ya.

Wow on the roof situation!

It seems we tend to hit times when everything happens at once. And it normally comes in 3's.

Yes it does. I fought round and round with company and the bank over that one. I didn't have the money to pay out right, so financed the balance. Those creeps called me the NEXT day to start talking about payment lol. I was like...Uh?! Yeah...No.

When they finally came back to fix my ceiling, they didn't even bring a ladder or drop cloth. When the guy started patching my ceiling he was almost dripping spackel all over my couch and carpet. Was like whoa, dude. One...you are getting it all over MY ladder....two...don't you have a drop cloth?! I used mine that i bring into customers homes.

Yikes! It's so hard to find reputable companies sometimes...and the ones who actually care.

I fought them for quite a bit. Told them i am no goofball. I work in the trades and really take my job and care seriously. They obviously did not. They tried to blame the ceiling on me somehow???? I for one, left my house open so they had access to a bathroom throughout the day and two...to inspect the house when done. I had debris all over my water heater and of course all over my couch and carpet after the section of sheetrock got busted out.

Garnet, I sympathize! I had my house and garage reroofed two years ago, fixed the clothes dryer last year, and unclogged the bathroom sink last week!
Instead of the laundromat, however, I ordered the parts from Amazon with next-day delivery. Fortunately they had them in a local warehouse.
