The "Have You Ever....." mini-quiz Debi posted on 1 Nov asked if you've ever had a scar. Well....have you?

If it's not too personal, tell us about your scar(s). Is it a cool surgery scar you can brag about, the result of a bike accident as a kid, or did it involve some drunken misadventure you are still a bit hazy about?

I have many scars. One of which i can't see if it still exists on the back of my head. When i had an accident, my toolbox flew across the van throwing tools everywhere, one or more striking me in the back of the head. I also have two scars on my right hand. One was from tripping and falling into my work van and ripping a gash onto my hand from bath fan rough housing. The other was from slicing a 1/4inch deep gash on my palm from a recess light housing. I still have a vague scar from my childhood from a matchbox car engine i knelt on. Same accident, there is a 'speckled' scar from my hand smacking the corner panel of my van. I also still have a fading Y shaped scar on the bridge of my nose from pulling myself up and accidently ramming face first into a garage opener track. There are probably more lol, though i think that's enough for now.

yeah, ive got my share of scars, from bike and go cart accidents to other crazy antics as a child, then even more as an adult....lol. then there are the ones from a couple surgeries too. from scars and broken bones to tattoos, i guess somewhere in there a story emerges.........

I have two notable scars. The first is on my left calf, the result of me getting carried away with my cutlass while dressed as a pirate on Halloween in 1981. I was curious if I could slice through a jack o' lantern with one slash. I did, with the blade passing through the pumpkin and into my calf. Luckily I had premedicated with tequila so it didn't hurt much.

The second scar runs across my left buttock. In 1987 I had to have a large cyst removed, leaving an impressive scar. The first time Mrs Duke saw my bare buttock, she immediately noticed and asked about the scar. She didn't buy my story about getting into a knife fight with a dwarf. Hard to fool a CCU nurse.

I have a few, on my face, arm and leg but the worst are the ones on my heart from getting broken :<3:cry:, lol. The worst one on the outside is from a dog, a silky terrier, lol.

ever had a scar
Oh, yeah. I broke my hand in high school on the pommel horse ( gymnastics). Luckily it was during the summer and off season. I have a nice scar on my left knee from a motorcycle accident (left wrist and left knee broken) . Scars throughout my body from scrapes that left scars. I tend to get a few scars on my shins from riding thru brush on my bicycle. For some reason, shin scrapes take a long time to heal.

a cutlass, Tequila, an E.R. visit....Now THAT is a party right there......

Most of my scars are recent, unfortunately! I have one on my left shin from walking into the coffee table, and a small bruise on my right shin from I don't know what!

When I was a child I got a pretty impressive one from playing leap frog with a low hedge. I didn't know that there were iron spikes that I guess were there to hold the hedge up. I leaped over and didn't clear it, so the iron spike went just below my right knee. It made a hole which, oddly enough, didn't hurt. I limped home with my two brothers who felt guilty at allowing me to make such a jump. I still have the scar, but it has shrunk from the size of a quarter to the size of a dime.
