Debi posted this story about an inn in Indiana known for its resident ghost. The story ends by inviting readers to "go see for yourself."

So, have you ever spent the night in a hotel/motel/inn/B&B after learning of resident ghosts. Did you have any paranormal or otherwise spooky experiences while staying overnight?

There was a B & B here in town i always wanted to spend the night at. I just never did as why pay for a bed when i have a perfectly good one here lol, plus it is now closed to public. I would like to research some and give it a shot. I know i always wanted to stay at the Stanley.

Mrs Duke and I have stayed at several, including a couple in Ireland. We've never had anything even close to a paranormal experiences in any of them. The most disappointing of the lot was the Buxton Inn, about two hours NE of us in Granville, Oh. We got "the" room and spent two nights there for our anniversary.

My girlfriend and I planned to stay in an old miners cottage that was abandoned in an old gold town where we lived. We planned for the weekend but after a couple of hours of darkness we were running 2 kms back to the car. It reminded us of the Evil Dead movie, the atmosphere was horrifying. A lot of Chinese miners were murdered in the area in the 1800's. We then knew why nobody ever camped in there.

When i was young and living at home, i took a girlfriend to a motel to spend a private night. I didn't have a credit card then, so all i had is what i had to spend. The place looked decent enough (lol) so paid for the room. The second we turned the lights on...the roaches scattered. That place may as well been haunted. You know the second the lights go out, whatever inhabits that room will sure come out and make itself known lol. I did get my money back too and found a better place for the night. Live and learn, right?

I've noticed cockroaches and negative energy go hand in hand. Places infested are also infested with depression and hopelessness, you made a good choice leaving.

We and another couple we investigate with have been talking about staying at some haunted, old Nevada hotels for a while. Were going to go this year until my summer plans changed for medical reasons. Hoping for next spring now.
I would be disappointed to stay somewhere with a reputation, only to experience nothing but a good night's sleep. I have no fear but the experience would be fascinating, it's the primary reason for the whole trip.

Mr. Garnet and I had traveled to Ohio to attend the funeral of a family member of his. We stayed at a hotel. I usually bless a hotel room before going to sleep but was so exhausted that I fell asleep before doing so. I had such nightmares; every time I forced myself awake I would slip right back into the same dream. Finally I dragged myself out of bed and groggily sprinkled holy water and salt around the room. Sleep was fine after that!

I just didn't want to wake up with them crawling on us, let alone crawling into other spaces lol. It is never good anyway too as they can get into your stuff and end up bringing them home. If haunted, would've been far better than little critters crawling on ya. Feel itchy just thinking about it lol.

According to some belief systems, including Feng Shui, cockroaches represent low energy. I have visited people who were always negative in attitude, always down on themselves or others. And inevitably they had a cockroach manifestation. (Not to mention they were not to good at housekeeping!) When I lived in FL lots of people complained about bugs, but I hardly ever saw any in my place. Once in a while one of those huge palmetto bugs would get in; disgusting!
