The Chore List

I had various chores when growing up. Take out trash, clean room, dust and vacuum house, dishes, help dad fix cars etc. All were learning experiences and some times got 'allowance' money. At 13-14 started working on farms during summer vacation. Once i got into high school is when i started working part time after school making 'better money' (though laughable compared to what no skill people are making today lol).

I can't say I had a daily list of chores, but I did help out when asked. I think by the time I was old enough to really do anything of value I was working. I had a full time babysitting job after school at 12. I was always making my own money because that was the only way I was going to have any lol.
I tried babysitting for non familly members and it was not something I felt good about. Not sure why but I didn't like kids back then unless they were related, then I tolerated them. Though when I was 13 and started taking care of my aunt's babies I learned a lot about taking care of babies and toddlers as they got older.
