Another work update...

I wonder if an employee there could be a SLder? Have you read about this, Rose? Debi and I have some SLder abilities, so when you say that equipment malfunctions, I wondered about this aspect.
I'm going to give that some thought as I definitely hadn't thought of that! It's very late here so I'll reply in full tomorrow, and to Oz as well. Night all.

RoseRed , fascinating thread going here.

Just an observation. Medical facilities can be places of high emotion and attract entities. Same with nursing homes and the county jail.
I guess we're all trying to figure out your puzzle and everybody keeps bringing different pieces to the table !

That's a good idea to start with asking the entity to leave. Assess if there's any more activity and maybe you have to bring in the clergy.

Hi again Garnet!

I'm not overly familiar with SLders as I only came across them for the first time on here. I've given it some thought, though, and it would have to be someone who was already there when I started two years ago, and who is still there now. That means I've been able to narrow it down to a few people who might possess these abilities. I'm pretty sure none of them are aware of it if they have - at least they haven't made it known...

Also, there have been many issues with the building other than just electrical phenomena (although there have been a LOT of electrical phenomena!). For example, there's a room in the basement that keeps flooding (no one knows why, as we're on a hill). There was the mud on the floor in my room, and all the sightings of the entity and people hearing it saying their name in their ear, or groaning etc....

I suppose it could be several things combined. It's a tricky one! What I'd really love is if all of you from the forum could come and spend a week there and then we could all crack it together! :D

Hi Paintman, that is a very interesting observation, and one I hadn't thought of.

You're absolutely right, emotions do run high there on a daily basis, and that must create a lot of energy which, in turn, could attract things...

It's amazing to me how many different ideas people are suggesting. It's definitely helpful to look at things from other perspectives, so I really do appreciate everyone's ideas and thoughts on this!

Yes, we will try another cleansing and asking the entity/spirit to leave and I'll be sure to keep everyone posted.

Hi, Rose! Glad we are giving new perspectives, and I would love it if we could all visit and figure this thing out!

When I was young I had a different view that we are in control of the paranormal, a sort of entertainment. I tried to contact passed family through thought and they would come through but when I asked about things only family knew they couldn't answer correctly and a sickening, threatening feeling would come over me. I knew after a few goes they were not good. Doing this seemed to bring bad entities and bad things would happen in my life.
I'm really sorry to hear that, Oz. Hope you're ok now. I agree, I do think we should be careful, as we don't always know what we're dealing with.

One thing I will say is that I never really get any bad vibes in the building. You mentioned feeling sickened and threatened by the entities you approached - I know many people experience a heaviness or oppression in haunted places, or their mood changes - but I've never had any negative feelings whilst in the building, other than one room in the basement (where I just won't go!). The only time I had a negative reaction to what was going on was because I'm mostly a sceptic but I was literally witnessing things and my brain was refusing to process it! It was more a feeling of intense frustration than anything else

I have a feeling that even after cleansing the place again and asking it to leave, we might still need to get a member of the clergy in. I suspect we will need someone who really knows what they're doing. I've heard of people attempting their own cleansings only to find their haunting gets a lot worse

There's always an outside chance that it's a "stone tape" situation. If the employee does the same action day after day, it may be like a film that has embedded in the stone and replays.
This is what I was thinking as I was reading down the posts. I wonder if the work place is built on limestone or near water.
