This is just another update on my workplace situation for anyone who's been following it...

Today we had a member of staff come in to work with us who doesn't usually work there. At the end of the day she disclosed to me that she thought she'd seen a ghost. Naturally I was curious as to what had happened but when she told me, I was quite shocked.

Apparently, she had seen another member of staff walk into a room and had followed her in to chat with her, only to discover that there was no one there.

The reason I was so shocked is because this will be the third time that has happened and to three different people. Also, all the reports concern people seeing the same member of staff walking into a room, only for them to find that she's not there.

We also have the continuing issues of lights coming on by themselves (this is now happening daily) and various other more "mundane" activity, but the one I've described above concerns me the most as it seems more unusual.

My question is this: what does it mean when an entity appears in the form of a person who is living? Are they mimicking that person? If so, why? Is it some kind of Doppelgänger? If so, what harm, if any, can they cause? Why would a ghost choose to diguise itself as a living member of our team and trick people into following it into empty rooms?

Any idea if the non-regular staff member who told you she saw the ghost was aware of previous incidents and claims?

I recently posted here about seeing a co-worker arrive for work, make eye contact with me, then go into the cloak room to put away her things. Turns out she had called in sick and wasn't even there! This sounds similar. I wonder why this particular activity happens and what does it mean?

An entity can choose to appear in any form, especially the trickster types. Remember, we really are working on the assumption that "ghosts" are spirits of the dead...that may not be the case, or at least not always the case.

I don't believe they are. I believe passed friends and loved ones come to us in dreams, I wouldn't trust communicating with a familiar face entity or any entity because of this.

Do they 'wear' the same clothes of person they are liking themselves to or just facial wise? There's always that small chance of time slippage and seeing something that has already or going to occur. Bit of a reach, but not sure why 'something' would impersonate only to just walk into a room and vanish. Perhaps not enough energy to finish why it brings a person to that room? Does that one girl still seem off you mentioned in last thread or has she moved on from that job?

That does sound very similar indeed, Garnet! This is exactly what I'm wondering, assuming there's no power of suggestion at play. It seems a weird kind of phenomenon and I wonder what on earth it means if it's genuinely happening.
