That Item on Your Bucket List.....

I've seen some amazing school bus conversations tailgating at college football games. On some of them they probably spent as much on the school oriented custom paint job as they did refurbishing the interior.
i had a trailer/camper for a few years that i sold just last year or so. before i sold it i was planning on gutting it completely out and rebuilding the inside in a very retro/vardo/ type style...but someone kept on me to sell it to them for a price i couldnt resist....lol... been thinking of getting a bus since then, (actually even before then..lol). they are a clean slate to work with and can be outfitted with antique furnishings from thrift stores, consignment shops, etc... really fun projects if your into that type work / carpentry / etc.... the camper was fun but a bus would be soooo much more manageable and conveniant when traveling, especially long term or cross country type travels.

Skinwalker Ranch was a big bucket list item, never did I imagine I would get paid to go there and actually join a real research team for a few days!

The rest of the bucket list has been discarded, pretty much. And I had to sell the bucket on eBay.

So the last remaining bucket list item is to live to retirement and have a few years of not having to go to work every morning, before the end. I'll be happy with that.

It's unlikely I'll ever own a 1960s Ferrari (this lifetime, anyway) but I have done lots of things that I wanted to do so I doubt I'll be feeling any regrets in that department when I move on.

The UK reached 40 degrees celsius this week. Unheard of.
You folks in the UK and Ireland are a hearty lot when it comes to weather. While exploring Dingle on a clear, sunny day several years ago, Mrs Duke and I came upon a small group of scantily clad sunbathers on a beautiful stretch of secluded beach. The temperature was 15°C (or about 58°F.) Mrs Duke, who is always cold, remarked it was far too chilly for her to consider sunbathing. One of them told her, "When live you hereabouts, you take the sun when you can get it."
