Lots and lots of water. I will no doubt be working outside during these weather patterns. Stay cool and keep hydrated. I will try myself. Hope no totally enclosed attics show up in my travels like last year. That was brutal to say the least.

My son is hanging some thermal backed drapes to our bedroom windows today. Hoping to keep the heat out an the cool in.

We are also going to find out how many meals I can make in a crockpot! Another suggestion is if you have to cook something, do it in the morning if possible and refrigerate to be microwaved in the evening when it's the hottest out and you don't want to be heating up the kitchen!

Yeppers. Is probably why i hardly cook inside in summer lol. Quick, easy, small meals lol.

I'm in LA. The forecast for the next 10 days is in the 80s with a couple days in the 70s. I don't see a heat wave. As for Death Valley, it's always hot there and 120 is not unusual and nobody lives there anyway.

You are one of the lucky ones. My forecast is near 100 for 5 days in a row followed by two weeks of "only" mid 90's. I shall send you pics of me melting...lol

I recently discovered how refreshing it is to put a little peppermint essential oil in a spray bottle with lots of water and spritz it on when it's hot. You have to shake it up frequently but feels so nice on the skin!
Here's a "Did You Know" on peppermint essential oil....if you spray it around your pool or camp area it keeps mosquitos away.

Being an expert on heatwaves sadly, try to get chores done in the morning and night if possible, stay in aircon during the day and don't move around much. I find if you go to the beach or river you come home hotter. Humans don't live long in 100% humidity and hot conditions.
