Are Mothman reports being covered up?

Just came across this and feels it speaks to this problem. Quoting from The Anomalist site:

The assembled tales are thrilling, but one must be wary since they're from Phantoms & Monsters which is notorious for sharing tales of questionable provenance, not to mention the sheer volume of encounters making one wonder, "How come nobody sees a monster every day while taking out the garbage" or some other mundane task?
I could have written that about most of the UFO sites.

Can I just say that with the metabolic process (the process that converts digested food into usable energy) as we understand it would not allow something as big as Mothman to fly at the speeds or with the agility it has been seen doing, so maybe their trying to use some other supernatural or just more efficient metabolism Mothman has

That's a pretty good theory if Mothman is a living being. I'm still thinking it is more paranormal but maybe not.

The pterosaur (flying dinosaur) known as Quetzalcoatlus had a wingspan up to 36 feet with weight estimates of 150-550 pounds.

So, first off I'm a bit of a nerd and one of my favourite things about the paranormal is trying to explain it but if that's not ok here I'll shut up and,
Second, if this isn't in reference to me, ignore this, but:

The Quetzalcoatlus was a large but thin pterosaur that mostly glided like birds such as condors and vultures and I am not saying something as large as Mothman couldn't fly with a normal metabolism but that something as large as Mothman wouldn't be able to fly at the speeds and turn with the agility it can.

also not necessary to my argument but I do feel like I should mention that in the late Cretaceous the oxygen content in the atmosphere (oxygen being the primary energy source in metabolism) was 30% in some projections compared to the 20% we have today so it would have been able to gain more energy from breathing.

We often debunk things here in our discussions. We also accept that there are things that are unexplainable. This is the paranormal interest that most here are interested in discussing.

I watched a wacky doc called Hellier. During their investigation, they made ties with mothman there as well.

Based on what?

There are bats with wingspans up to 5 or 6 feet. Bats can fly with great agility. Why not a creature that is, say, 50% larger?
for a human to fly, as an example of mothman size, we would need a wingspan of roughly 25 feet, (that is why most hang gliders are at least 30 feet across at the minimum).. but, and this is a big but...lol. as the wing span gets bigger the weight ratio increases resulting in the need for an even larger wingspan, so a vicious circle kinda thing.. now, if mothman exists in the physical world, maybe he is more birdlike, hollow bones, lite weight, etc... but even then the muscle needed for flight (which is dense and heavy) would come into play. so the question of maneuverability and speed is a valid question to be asked. most pterosaurs were gliders that rode the winds, not easy flyers. most descriptions of mothman having a 10 to 12 foot wingspan just wouldnt work.

Did you watch both seasons of it? I did watch the first ones. Haven't gotten back to the second.
