IT USED TO BE THERE WAS A FRYING PAN AND A POT OR TWO IN THE KITCHEN. THAT SEEMED TO COVER ALL COOKING NEEDS!
NOW, THERE ARE "HELPFUL" DEVICES OF ALL KINDS FOR YOUR KITCHEN!
WHAT DO YOU SWEAR BY, WHAT HAVE YOU USED, WHAT DID YOU PURCHASE AND SET ASIDE AFTER A FEW USES?

I swear by my air fryer! We had an apple slicer that did not work well. I have a spice grinder that is great and gets used for peppercorns, cat nip, and salt for popcorn. I own a blender which I hate to clean so it hardly gets used. A hand held mixer which I love, and a food processor which does get used here and there.

Electric coffee bean grinder. Without one of those, as much coffee as Mrs Duke drinks, I'd be employed nearly fulltime grinding up coffee beans with a big ass mortar and pestle.
A woman after my own heart! lol

I have a Cuisinart that gets a lot of use. I use it the process vegetables and chop herbs. And even used it as a coffee grinder in a pinch.
An immersion blender is pretty good for omelettes. Other than that I'm pretty basic with a few knives and pretty standard pots and pans.
There are a handful of appliances that I haven't got around to using yet. I'm sure they can do the job. Things like a crock pot and a pressure cooker.

Speaking of coffee, my son has his own coffee pot and a French Press, because if that pot breaks he HAS to have coffee. As long as he can boil some water, coffee is available. We have a Keurig on a coffee station in our bedroom as we don't like our coffee quite as dark and mean as our son.

We have all sorts of devices, most bought by my husband. Everything from an indoor grill to a special can opener for him and a different electric can opener for me. Bread machine and Kitchen Aid Mixer, emulsion mixer, right down to holders to cook stuffed peppers that looks like a giant jalapeno. My crockpot is a must, and I hated the InstaPot. Gave that away.

I borrowed my dad’s pressure cooker and set it aside after a single use. It did the job very well, but nothing is ever truly fail safe, but I just didn’t trust it. Despite that, it still outperformed my slow cooker with the beef stew I made. It was far better.

I had a pressure cooker explode in the past so I don't trust them. Looked like a blast zone and luckily I was not in the kitchen when it blew.

I am afraid of pressure cookers ever since my first MIL used to periodically have stuff explode all over the kitchen ceiling, lol.
