Ever notice a blooper or continuity error in a movie or TV program? A Viking warrior wearing a wristwatch? Aircraft contrails in a western? Tell us what you've seen.

One I noticed regularly in the MASH series was a sign on the wall of the Officer's Club that showed a Vietnam era UH-1 Huey helicopter in air ambulance markings. That helicopter wouldn't make its first flight for several years after the end of the Korean War.

In the 1943 movie "Destination Tokyo," a raiding party from a USN submarine lands on a Japanese held island armed with Winchester lever action rifles. It was almost as if the guns chosen were an afterthought and somebody grabbed the rifles commonly used in Western movies. I also think I saw a dead Japanese soldier breath.

I cant recall a blooper in a movie or show per se. Bollywood and African movie special effects can be good for a laugh though..

As a kid I knew when commercials were coming up because my periferal saw the channel logo in te top corner dissapear.

Id walk off to the restroom and say, commercials, which left my family baffled about how I knew.

Oh yes! I notice lots of things in movies like this. In some movies I excuse it because I knew they were just big dumb action or cheesy horror films to begin with. So when a characters' tattoo disappears or switched arms between shots or the hero fires their double barrel shotgun 3 times in a row before reloading I just laugh it off.

However there are some other movies that I really like and are meant to be good quality so these kinds of mistakes really stand out. A few examples are:

Jaws-Air tanks don't explode when you shoot them. Those things do get punctured from time to time and nobody gets blown up as a result.

Die Hard-The master thieves had a great idea for how to get away by hiding in an Ambulance. This doesn't work because Argyle the limo driver sees them driving the decoy ambulance out of their cargo truck and rams into it with the limo. However, at the beginning of the movie we get a full view of Hans Gruber and his crew in the back of the very same truck and there is no ambulance in sight.

Cobra-In the beginning of the movie a guy shoots up a grocery store and is threatening to detonate a bomb. Stallone goes in by himself to stop the guy and is able to surprise the gunman by coming out of the walk in freezer. How he managed to sneak past the gunman to get into the freezer to begin with is unclear.

Terminator 2: Judgment Day-When the Terminator first materializes in the parking lot of a trucker/biker bar there is a cool "time bubble" special effect that cuts a sphere in the environment. We see where the ground is cut away as well as the back corner of the truck trailer and it's wheels. There is a slow push in to focus on the Terminator as it stands up to look around and identify it's surroundings. During this time you get a good look at how the time bubble has cut away the entire back half of the wheels and tires. In fact there is so much missing that you can see right into the hollow of the tires themselves. Yet the tires don't go flat.

Speed-In the exciting climax Annie is handcuffed to the inside of the subway car heading towards an incomplete section of track. Officer Traven can't stop the car because the control panel has been shot and the emergency brake no longer works. He gets the idea to increase speed so the car derails instead of crashing into the dead end. The audience is treated to dramatic tension music and sees a close up of Officer Traven pushing the throttle to the position marked "Full Power". There is a random blinking red light hanging from a wire covering the other throttle labels, so the audience doesn't see that simply pulling the throttle back would put it in the full stop position. The emergency brake is not the main or only way to stop the vehicle.

As you all are probably aware, I watch a lot of old westerns cuz hub's loves them. My favorite thing to do is count gun shots. lol Amazing how many shots those old guns had in them! Then there are the hats! Just last night Matt Dillon threw his hat to distract the bad guy but he had it right back on when he shot that bad guy two seconds later. I, too, would like a magic hat!

The scene in Die Hard 2 where Willis ejects from a cargo plane is wrong on so many counts it's not funny. The bad guys also had some really slow fused grenades.

Funny you should mention that movie and scene. I just saw that within the last two weeks or so and actually thought, "Wonder what Duke would think about that?" lol

ahhh, you gotta love those hollywood grenades. they dont pop until ya throw'em and they can be set from " stun " to "nuclear mushroom"....lol

That was particularly egregious. However when compared to the rest of the movie it somehow feels a bit more realistic. The bit about the "Glock 7", a porcelain gun that doesn't show up on x-ray literally made my head hurt.
