TV Series Reboots and Spinoffs

Worst spin-offs ever were every Star Trek series that came after the original in '66-'68.

I only made it through about two dozen Next Generation episodes before I couldn't take the wooden acting, poorly contrived characters, and lousy scripts anymore. And every one that came after was just more crap. Like every TV producer in Hollywood had to get their fingerprints on Star Trek. I kept tuning in, to later series as well (Voyager, DS9, Enterprise, etc., etc.) and it was just more crap. Like the production companies were just playing Star Trek.

I was an original Trekkie. Went to Equicon 76/FilmCon III in LA in '76. Have met most of the original cast and talked to a couple of them for a few minutes, all are and were wonderful people to this (then) young fan.

But I will not rabidly & reflexively consume All Things Trek just because somebody paints it up to look like Star Trek.

The spinoffs were a huge waste of money, terrible disrespect to the original vision, waste of time. I want the hours of my life back that I wasted watching that drivel. Burn all of them and never speak of them again.

I have to agree! I loved the original Star Trek, and the rest was just fluff.

Worst:
Anything with "Lucy" in the title including the original.

Doctor Who did it right. You basically keep the same show going forever, and just replace talent as needed.
