This was pretty much a gimme. With a virus, they mutate and create variants, so it's pretty much what was expected.

The conditions in India are beyond comprehension right now. Their health system has pretty much collapsed. Oxygen is being sold on the black market and hospitals are running out of it.

Every time someone gets Covid they become a giant petri dish for mutations.
