Australian Crawl was a big band in the 80's here, the singer James Reyne was difficult to understand at all. One song Fall of Rome I used to think was Follow home.
In Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," I always thought they were singing:
"Mitch Miller! No, we will not let you go
(Let him go!) Mitch Miller! We will not let you go
(Let him go!) Mitch Miller! We will not let you go"
It was maybe ten years ago I learned they were singing "Bismillah," not "Mitch Miller." I finally looked up Bismillah, it was an Islamic expression, meant something like "in the name of God."
A really old one, Sing a Song of Sixpence, when I was young I thought it said four and twenty blackbirds (baked dinner pie) instead of baked in a pie, lol. I hated baked dinners and the thought of it with birds in it in pie form haunted me for years.
'Wicked Game' is so slow paced but beautiful that at first, (and it's one of my favorites) I couldn't understand what he was saying until I googled the lyrics. I know the song by heart now but I'll sometimes get the lyrics mixed up at the worst.
