All I can think of is the death scene in an old movie I watched with my mother, called "Imitation of Life." And the death of the Terminator in Terminator 2, Judgement Day.

That was sad!

Spock's death....yes. When Kirk calls him "the most human" and the pipes start to play Amazing Grace it was double Kleenex time for me.

If memory serves, I think Nimoy had some creative input in the film and wanted Spock to die. It wasn't well received by fans anymore than the Enterprise's destruction was.

Here's another one. Spock's funeral in The Wrath of Kahn and Kirk's death in Into Darkness. Or Vader's death in ROTJ after his redemption.

I was balling coming out of the theater after Star Trek. I was almost catatonic.
